The bit that matters
The numbers you type into Bearings — your salary, your answers — never leave your device. They're worked out right there in your browser, and we never see them, receive them, or store them. The only things we ever hold are your email (if you subscribe) and your name and email (if you buy a report). We'll never sell your data or use it for ads. That's genuinely it.
Who we are
Bearings makes friendly lifestyle tools and a newsletter. Any questions, just email trybearings@gmail.com — a real person will reply.
What we collect
- Your email — only if you subscribe, so we can send you the newsletter. Unsubscribe any time.
- Your name and email — only if you buy a report, so we can take the payment and send your receipt. Your card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
- Basic visitor stats (like page views) — so we can see what's useful.
- Your financial figures — we don't collect these. They stay on your device and disappear when you close the tab.
Who helps us run it
A few trusted services each do one job: Stripe (payments), Beehiiv (the newsletter), Squarespace (hosts the site) and Cloudflare (serves our images).
Your data, your call
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete anything we hold — just drop us an email. If something ever bothers you, tell us first and we'll put it right; you're also free to raise it with the ICO if you'd like.
Cookies
Our own tools set no tracking cookies. Our site host and newsletter may set a few essential or analytics ones to keep things working — you can manage these through the cookie banner and your browser.
Changes
We may tweak this page now and then; the date up top shows when it last changed.
